One Path

Contributed by northernlights on Thursday, 21st March 2013 @ 04:35:05 AM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

One Path.

Tiny feet paddle through troubled waters and each

Tear of wrong falls as wax into a glass of survival,

And a candle shows the way.

An eternal flame brings Wisdom and Discernment

To hungry eyes, a two edged sword that illuminates

The true spirit's reflection from behind the mask of

Flesh, and from the knowledge of darkness that

Which claims to walk in light is revealed as darkness,

And the pain of the cut of the sword is felt as sorrow

Wishing sometimes for blindness, for the comfort

Of not being able to truly see!

For maturity now has no choice and seeks peace in

Taking the mind to pastures of milk and honey that

Will give the Soul rest.

The flame is eternal and the path is chosen, the

Temptation is the ease of which other footsteps

Appear to

Walk their own paths, and though the paths may

Cross for a few steps the flame guides these footsteps

To only one path.

Flesh weakens and footsteps become heavier and more

Deliberate, the heart is heavy with the knowledge and

Insight.

Tiny feet approach the lych gate as they turn to the final

Path, flesh unburdened, darkness falls into the shadows

And the spirit is free!
