Temptation spell

Topic: insomniac

There is a voice I hear,
bothering my dreams.
Whispering warnings.
Calling to me.
They say;
Come along, my dear child.
Leave the world behind you child.
'Tis naught but pain and heart break.
"Tis naught but agony beyond what ye can take.
On and on these voices talk.
I wish to have but a moments peace.
But they taunt and talk.
Scream and mock.
Testing me to the edge of my sanity.
They say;
Come to us, child heart.
We can bring you the moon and stars.
Come along and dance with us.
Take our hand and join us.
Come along dear sweetheart.
Come along, dear heart.
Join us.
Join us.
Join us.
What can I say, I get tempted.
Wouldn't you if you had heavens invitation?
Join us.
Join us.
Join us.
There is no peace.
Just voices tempting me in my dreams . . . .

I loved this piece immensely. I've always wondered what it is we experience outside this reality. I've always pictured bliss. :) Living is the hard part. And the moment of death an beyond is the easy part, you know, it just has to be. ha. Anyways... Thanks for reading and giving feedback on some of my poems. Keep writing and posting!

-James. :)

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
