It'll Be OK, But Why?

Contributed by dvtpdw on Monday, 22nd April 2013 @ 12:22:23 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

My mind questions, why does a body hurt
My heart questions, why does the soul cry
With each strike, only one question I blurt
You're telling me that it'll be ok, but why

Each day, looking for a mystical happy place
Each hour, seeking to find some quiet peace
Each minute, asking why I'm still in this race
Each second, the chances of success decrease

All around, your words resound - it'l be ok
Yet you've no road map to lead the way there
I hear each syllable, each letter in what you say
But in my recesses, my being screams beware

Craziness becomes apparent within a moment
Hate forces entry with each beat of a dying heart
Promises made, hold on, the answer will be sent
Knowledge that to hear, belief must become a part

In my world, knowing and believing often disagree
I still don't understand why you say it'll be ok
Your eyes show me the truth you need me to see
It'll be ok because life and love will lead the way

So sad but love the way you write. You seem to write with such ease.

Life and love will ultimately lead the way...yes.

fear can destroy happiness if you let it. That is the message i got out of this poem. Let life and love lead the way. :) wonderful.
