Hold Tight

Contributed by dvtpdw on Thursday, 9th May 2013 @ 02:00:35 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Words help the heart to realize
What pictures help the soul visualize
Each life story carries on forever
Immortalizes its earthly endeavor

Death takes a body from our presence
But has no power to remove their essence
The moment a face is cherished, remembered
Every spark of love they gave is recovered

Loss feels like there is no surviving this
Road ahead is paved with dismal distress
Each day, the nightmare won't go away
Can't see tomorrow; barely tolerate today

Love never ceases; hearts carry its brand
They walk beside us, hand in hand
May be out of sight, never from our smile
We may be parted, just for a little while

The sun awaits you as you get through this
You'll find yourself smiling again, I promise
Each day, as you set out on your life's course
Stronger you'll grow with their Love's force

I LOVE this. Through the darkness there's always hope. So in tune with what I believe and beautifully crafted.
