Child in the Window

Topic: SongLyrics

Child in the window, woman in your dreams
Showing you pathways where youve never been
Shes the one that youve longed for there in your silence
That misty someone you have never touched or seen

Chorus:
Wont you please tell me
Where did you come from
Where are you going tomorrow
Rose in the garden
Mural on the wall
Always so fresh and new
When you thought youd had it all

Just a bit country, bluesy and bold
Painting your mindscape in silver and gold
Shell take hold of your feelings, capture your memories
Filling your senses and awakening your soul

Chorus:
Wont you please tell me
Where did you come from
Where are you going tomorrow
Breathe in the new life
Open wide the door
Just let her show you
What youve never seen before

Bright eyed and breezy, quiet and shy
Ready to dry any tears that you cry
Shell come in to your present, tell you your future
And send you soaring when you never thought to try

Chorus:
Wont you please tell me
Where did you come from
Where are you going tomorrow
Savor new flavors
Look past every door
Let yourself wander
Where youve never gone before

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
