Full Circle Funny how things come back around Sitting on the same bench I was once found Years ago Head hung down I was lifted I was gifted I was given hope Now I search for my heart on the ground My pride dangles on a short rope
On a sunny day this was my go to spot Years ago I would sit and watch Read and write Making room for others Always polite Musicians around me Painters and poets Waterfalls and foliage People are always such a sight Stare and think What would the next few years bring ?...
So now I'm back On my bench with new strangers Years have passed Sadly, I still have no answers I know I have lived I know I have loved I know I have to start again This time I hope for a better end

This is pretty good. I like the sentiment here of looking at the past and taking stock of where you are. This is how you grow as a writer. |
