I cast a wish
Upon the moon
Hoping someday
I will see you
For no one shall hide
Or take this dream
I sleep tonight
For all to see
The beauty of life
Put into one soul
I've secretly loved
My heart she has stole
Long ago
A time far away
Her love casted a shadow
Upon the new day
Now that love
Returns to me
As a pool of passion
An ocean of dreams
Not knowing if
She feels the same way
Or if she wishes
For me someday
Maybe she does
And is just afraid
To speak her feelings
She just lets it fade
As I sit here dreaming
Of a time with you
Loving and caring
And beautiful too
So I cast a wish
Upon the moon
Hoping someday
You will too
