Old Bones and me,
we keep good company.
Weve had so much
of life and such.
Weve helped each other now and then
and been true friends through thick and thin.
Old Bones and me,
weve been what theres to be.
Weve done a lot
with what weve got
and lived life with such joy and pain
we know wed do the same again.
Old Bones and me,
weve seen what theres to see.
Many a day
weve toiled away.
But evening came when work was done
and brought for us great times of play.
Old bones and me,
arent what we used to be.
The flesh is weak,
the joints all squeak.
So now as I gaze back in time,
Ill rest these poor Old Bones, of mine.
