Turns in the Universe

Trust once took a hesitant step sideways Pale and bewildered against loves broad shoulders The luster of confidence slowly grew white and pure In little moments forward, euphoric and carefree
Light-years were spent in fractions of a lifetime On lilting hope, feather-light on choices With dreams pegged on rainbows, and the sun in their secrets They walked into the world as the night caught the dark
But then the dark world clawed its reach on Love Lampooning Trust and her fragile existence They sold her to Age, the waste-yard of Life And Love wouldnt look beyond the mist of fate
Life grows her stories around the tides of change Orphaning some and surrogate to the rest Some care with caution, and some with their lives Turns in the Universe when futures resign to dishonor
