Anger's Wrath

So much time spent being upset Filled rivers with the tears I've wept Pangs of anguish mixed with regret Lost in the world of dreams never met
Emotions rule with an iron fist The darker of them so hard to resist Hate, despair, loneliness, no joy Anger's poison is the meanest toy
Anger's fuel keeps the rest afloat Strokes the fire, then watches to gloat The faintest touch of it's stank breath Destroys the strength to fight the rest
As the darkness calls, I feign asleep When I can't resist, I shake as I weep Trying to dream of a bright sunny day But it hides among hate's dark clay
Dreams are for fools who dare believe Nightmares are for those lost, like me Maybe before, I walked along hope's path Wishing I knew what caused anger's wrath

Hi There
Yes emotions always dictate how we live. In fear or in happiness this much is true. We as man kind have battled this from the beginning of time. However we should endeavor to change this. Its so easy to get lost in you heart cause that where our emotions start. Well penned.
Greetings
