waging a war within

Dimensions extensions
fighting your demns as you lay idle
not knowing how much deep down for me you really care
coming through the battle scattered and torn
it was for you I fought
yet you who lost the waging war
corridors of choices crossing the path
lighting up the way
hope you chose wise
there are no back tracking on my road
make sure the chosen is the one written in stone

Well hello Miss Jennitude! ;)

I can completely relate to this piece! You are right, it is best to keep looking forward on your path through life. When looking back we lose sight of what is before us, missing opportunities and the chance to grow. We cannot live for others if we aren't prepared to live for ourselves. Keep positive, and keep waging that war, and know you are on the right path!

Great job expressing yourself.
