Feline

Topic: PetPoems

Understanding the curiosity of the feline
perched on my lap.
So loving, warm, cuddly.

At a second glance it rips my eyes open with
it's razor sharp scepters.
Then lovingly licks my hand.

The blood trickles down my face-
-pooling on my shirt
-that cat jumps off in disgust.

It stares in my eyes and questions.
"What's wrong?"

It slowly cleans itself with not another thought
about the event.
Then runs off to sleep.

So erratic and self centered is that feline.
It loves itself and no one else.

hhmmm I should say, that cats have thier own mind indeed!! My baby boy is just that, a baby and all the way thru. I do beleive in removing those front razors though. I got sick too much from the scratches of cats with thier front claws. So I learned that they can go, as long as they remain house cats and I baby sit them, they can do very well without the front claws. You can get sick from cat scratches, even when they have all thier shots. so I rather they didn't have them, house cats they are and will be. Good write and hope your baby will retract those claws!! Amber :)

I have a cat like that right now!!! I'm thinking about having her declawed.... she's so prickly about everything. And so snobbish!!! But then again cats normally are.
