its always an uneasy mix,
union and time apart
but I have a divided heart,
and when youre here
I dont know where to start
I feel your absence in every nerve,
I seek your presence
but it chokes me still
thats less than what you deserve,
but I know I havent had my fill
your smile brings light to my life,
my silence only darkens the tone
I know I say I want my space,
but I miss you when youre gone
I should give in to solitude,
retreat to a quiet zone
far from the will of the heart,
where my cravings will be mine alone
still I know that I will be drawn,
like the sun to tomorrows dawn
to the union of bodies and souls,
and the lover who makes me whole.
