In the night breeze Fast asleep in peace With you, entangled In my dreams I kiss your lips My hand on your chest I can feel your heart beat Smell your perfumed skin Like a crisp fall day The scent is refreshing I steal from you A drop of innocence I ask for you In all my brilliance Hold me and whisper Words of resistance Pull away Let me die in peace

I read this over a few times before deciding to comment. there is a sadness in this that, at first is not completely apparent. but it steals breath as it settles in the spaces where the words remain oblique. beautifully and painfully enchanting.

Life is tough when the dream is better than the reality. This is eloquently written and the ending ties it all in rather nicely.
