Which Side Are You On

Topic: Lifepoems

Can anyone in this world understand
The fear and pain of any man.
The love, the happiness, and the joy.
The remorse that's felt living on this earth.

People look and judge from on the outside.
Never taken the chance to dig deep inside.
It's all about color, race, and class
Never a heart felt moment to lend a hand.

The world today brings so much sadness.
People lie, steal, and cheat just to get ahead.
Not realizing working together brings a better outcome in the end.

Humanity dying left and right because no one can comprehend what is right.
Coming together as one. Taking a stand making this world a better place to live in.

But as we all know that will never be.
Never coming together as one for the team.
Democrats. Republicans. Which side are you on?
I know which side I'm on.
The side that will win in the end.

I choose the Lord's side.
Trusting and believing in Him
I'll never be let down nor will I have false hopes to believe in.

His word is true and what He says He means.
He doesn't say things just to get me to vote and be on His team.

And when this world does finally come to an end.
I'll be willing and ready to live in paradise with Him.
But until that time has come for me. I'll continue to study and continue to believe, knowing one day I'll be with my Lord Savior and King.

It is certainly a challenge living in harmony with everyone in this vast world.
Ironically, even religion seems to have it's sides.
How can that be?
I guess when we finally work everything out it will be too late, sadly
