Personal terrors revealed to the man across the couch He listens and asks questions Disperses doubts Absolving his patient of his guilt now found out The process intensifies without an end in sight Nowhere to hide when the memories flash back in sparks of rage and tears Recounting traumas of childhood and adult regrets and all types of scary fears Promises to try new things and let the past slip into its grave Dead is the word Used to enslave A person to his past with a love that was never meant to last
