Escaping from the darker side
Eyes twitch open - open wide
Nightmare averted, a narrow miss
And all that's left is this....
no longer aching to destroy
you fill me with love and joy
I see the value of my life
Awaiting a time when you're my wife
I falter and I make mistakes
not knowing just what it takes
but you help me make it everyday
those loving, caring words you say
I know I wouldnt have this stride
without you here by my side
your shining eyes warming touch
just being you means so much...
I lost myself when you left me
but now your here youre all I need
not saying I dont still have pain
but with you here its not the same
I dont always do whats right
I know we'll diasagree I know we'll fight
often things arent as they seem
I say things that I dont mean
yet you still stick by me to the end
more than a companion, youre my best friend
I wish there was a way to show
my love for you, I hope you know
you are my sun, you are my earth
your why I live, for what its worth
you are my light, you are my air
nothing the same if your not there
you add so much to all I do
I'd have nothing if I didnt have you
there are no words I can describe
on how you make me feel inside
the fire grows in my soul
and rages on out of control
It means so much to have you near
it means so much to know you care
I tell you this, and all is true
thank you so much for being you
I pledge myself until my death
I'll love you til my final breath
