To have that back again...

Topic: LovePoetry

Remembering the days weve spent
And how they changed my life
Just thinking of these holes you filled
And relieved me from this strife
How I was lost before I found you
The tears still fill my bed
The reoccurring hurt and pain
Still echoes in my head

I think about what weve both been through
And how weve grown since then
We both became something
Even if our parents couldnt have been
They may have not have been there
To help us everyday
But you and I were for each other
Thats what will pave the way

Sometimes we dont see exactly
What we should be thankful for
Until its much too late
And thats when well want it that much more
the loneliness and sorrow
May sometimes obscure our view
But knowing whats at stake
Will make our hearts all that more true

I know now what you mean to me
I always knew it all along
But my bliss living in that ignorance
Made me enjoy that song
The melody now sickens me
I cant continue down that path
The lyrics repeat again and again
Reminding me of my careless wrath

I thought I really lost you
When all along youre all I had
The feeling that we failed
Thats what makes me feel so bad
Worse than all the other wrongs And failures
I have made
I thought that you were gone...
And now we have the chance to save

If the future in store for me
Doesnt have a place for you
I dont know if I can face it
Not sure that I can make it through
Youre all I ever needed
You set my soul ablaze
The way you mesmerize
The way that you amaze

I hope that you can hear me
Deep down in your heart
I hope we can return
To how things were in the start
We laughed, we shared and we cried
And things were perfect back then
Id give up everything for you
And to have that back again
