Walking through the ashes of civilization As it was known a million years ago When people ruled and crushed the world Creating needless guns just for fun And killing each other on the run Brushing aside all their pains Making and destroying chains With nothing but their big and mighty brains
Seeing natures bowing to its children Crying blood from wounds of growth Metal rain of humans madness Squeezing slowly sap of Earth But was it all this worth it The horror that weve made To live with and within With no religion weve commit our mortal sin
Now therere no guns, no wars, no pain No prejudice, no envy and no shame People everywhere are all the same And nothing else around to blame No hands to make implements of fight No brains to take minds off of life Now, a million years from then, weve paid the price To find our much sought-after paradise

That last stanza sounds like a dream world or a fantasy world. Wonder if we'll ever really make it. Lovely thoughts. Nicely done.

Indeed, sunning our back-to-the-sea bulks on rocks and laughing at farts still sounds a lot better than the misery we inflict on each other and ourselves as the so-called dominant species. Vonnegut is a prescient genius. I like these lines especially:
'Seeing nature’s bowing to its children
Crying blood from wounds of growth'
welcome to the hood,
