The terror and the fear
Created by a cunning evil?
By hearts as cold as ice?
Or by bombs born in the heart?
Where passions flare
And anger turns to hate?
Are these killers motivated
By the urge just to destroy?
Are they simply devils
Whos hands must employ
Only means of darkness
With peoples' lives to toy?
Do we believe the myth
That the devil stands behind
Each and every action
With red skin and claws
Goats eye and breath
He screams his commands
And his minions bring us death?
Or the opposing myth
His opposite so pure
A saintly God who's every thought
Is gentle and demure
Who spends His days in loving
Those who bring the cure
And kill the evil among us
Are you so very very sure?
Is all life black and white
With nothing in between?
Are you either with or against
All so clearly seen?
Just good and evil
Right and wrong
No need to be confused
But is it not like the fascists
Who also sense refused?
They talked about a noble elite
So fair and strong and pure
An Aryan breed who stood so proud
For weakness they were a cure
All degenerate forms
Were to be swept away
Bringing Earth to the winners
Pure gold from the clay
Is this not the world we're headed for
With Bush and his Christian ghouls?
They see the world in black and white
So comforting for your souls
We are the righteous
In danger and in fear
We'll destroy the evil doer
Driving him from here
Oh, if life was just that simple
Just like old John Wayne
But all these simple solutions
In long term just bring pain
It's all so much garbage
He can never deliver
It sounds so good
But so it should
For the short term powermonger
Just be nicely manipulated
To move into that polling booth
Move along little mindless sheep
the stupid and uncouth
We wont tax your brains
with long explanations
A sound byte will do you
With your daily rations
We are white and they are black
We are good and they are evil
Don't think. That's not what we want
We are sheep and they are goats
All we need are your brainfree votes
Get angry on command
Just do as we say
And remember our simple message
On your polling dying day
