I could not count how many times The clock ticked since I saw you Maybe it was yesterday, Or has it been a year?
I saw so many signs And similarities to draw your Countenance in the display Of my surrounding sphere.
I hope but do not think That my face lives in your mind That there are times when you feel whole And sleepless hours pass at night
I grasp that endless link That's not able to bind Its loose end to your soul If I hold it so tight.

I love the last 4 lines…reminds me of sand..the tighter we hold it, the more it slips through our fingers.
Thank you for sharing this.
