Rubys counting stars tonight heavens baubles, hot and bright eyes a-blazing, sheer delight, diamonds twinkling in her sight
Rubys breathless, 1-2-3 where else would she want to be? squeals of sheer reverie, adorn her visage, cant you see
shes hoping for that passing flight a falling star across the night to wish I may, wish I might, a final sharing of last light
our Rubys got no more to live all shes done is give and give if I could Id give her mine, for Rubys run out all her time
try and try with all our might some hearts forget just how to fight a final kiss, then goodnight, Rubys with the stars tonight.

Ruby is a lucky lady to be so well remembered!
"A final kiss and then goodnight; Ruby's with the stars tonight!"…Great ending..taking us back to the beginning.
this has a nice easy to read rhythm..and that is anything but "easy" to accomplish!
Please take a moment to share your gift by reading others poetry and commenting. It will mean as much to them as it does to you, and perhaps your voice will be there just when they need to hear it most. Thank you..and please keep writing!

Jaunty, but tragic. I suspect there's a long story
behind the words that the rest of humanity could
relate to. Fine words, Poet - and I sense that
Ruby was well-deserving of such tribute.
