Just another 24 hours to fall in love

Contributed by stargazer on Monday, 19th May 2003 @ 06:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

They always told her that tomorrow
would be another day.
But tomorrow meant another day without him.
She devoted her life to him,
but he had his own life and his own way.
Tomorrow meant just another way
to spend her life all by herself.
Flipping through a beauty magazine,
or even watching TV.
She saw him in everyone
and everything.
All she has seen is the rainy days...
its as if the sun does not exist.
She probably should have given up
a long time ago...
but she just can't let go.
He has her heart,
body,
and soul.
A one night stand-
that's what many call it.
But it was more than that.
This girl had fallen in love
and was now miserable...
watching him win over other women,
just like he had done to her a year ago.
She sees him in the streets,
on the tabloid stands,
in the TV...
he is everywhere.
She just wants to scream aloud.
She's tried to wake up
but she can't seem too.
She pulls her hair
and cries in pain.
She will be all right.
Another day,
another place...
another lonesome day.

A new magazine on her doorstep..
and right when she thinks she can rid herself of him...
she looks down
and who does she see on the front cover?

She and her boy...
together.

What a beautiful day.
She tells herself,
"tomorrow I'll be over him,"
but right now as she has another 24 hours,
to get over him and too
fall more in love with him.
