I close my eyes and thoughts deny
I don't want to feel this thing
I lay in sleep in disbelief
That it's I alone who's in this dream---
Accepting tho, is quite my chore
This life with you I've arranged
is fading to a drifting cloud
so vulnerable to quiet change---
However things I understand
like time not on my side
and knowing me was not enough
to see my love for you sublime--
But please, don't let me linger
in this love I'm singing solo
In the music I've imagined
in my off key a capella--
Don't let me sleep again tonight
thinking how in love you seem
Tell me factly that it is
only I who's in this dream -------
