I'm back to write some more and speak my mind Nothing but reality in these words you shall find Tired of this spoiled generation of brats Raised privileged and ruined like a pack of rats Chewing away at the foundations of our world Disrespect and snobbery is hurled At those that fight for their future lives Looking down on us who work hard so they can achieve for what they strive You can hate me for what I say but I speak the truth These pieces of crap, yes America's proud and beautiful youth I've been spit on and ***** on for serving my land To preserve the rights and freedoms, only to be slapped with a brand Don't talk to me about how you deserve more than you have I had less then you when I was older and I was glad Not raised rich but certainly not poor I was middle class and I had my mother's love and more That's all I needed to get by Not some super changed console or 50 gig wi-fi Screw you for thinking that the world comes on a silver plate Little ***** like you are what I hate And the thought that some day you will rule on high One day I will be there to ensure you die Things are already FUBAR As you whine to daddy how you need that new car So you can drive fast and screw around Getting reckless and harming others being hell-bound I realize this is a rant and I am in a rage I just needed to flip the script and turn the page This is my step back to the poetry scene And I don't give a damn if I sound mean Blame your folks for raising a thin skinned prick Cause I bent and broken, yeah I don't give a *****

Very well put excellent. Just one thing it's not only in the states that way it's all over the world in this day and age. Youth think the world owes them everything in life. We were obedient children to our parents. Now our youth wants us to be obedient parents. I gather you were some sort of soldier. That *****es one of when you lay your life on the line just to see others squander their lives, and not appreciate what you have preserved for them. I'm not really one for angry poetry although I have written 1 or 2 but this one rings true. Grate job.
Greetings

Hmm. Not sure if I love this because of the profanity (it tickles my inner sailor :P), or because of the sarcastic tone. Or maybe it is simply because you are speaking some truth here. All the youth are not messed up, of course, but the self-entitlement does seem to grow with every generation. Everyone at some point needs a guiding hand to help them learn the important stuff- values, compassion, morals, hard work, love, and humility. Without guidance we are ALL lost.
Good job with this!

tundrahydra: Welcome back to poetry! I think you did more than turn the page; I think you tore it out of the book!
Your cleansing rant has merit. Don't think you'll get any arguments, mostly because your target audience probably has never read a poem.
Their loss….our gain.
Look forward to your future writes!
