THE MOUNTAIN AND THE SKY

Contributed by hray42 on Friday, 6th June 2014 @ 11:42:44 AM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

a distant mountain etches out a painting
framed neatly within a lavender sky
suddenly, the scene is poetry in motion
as a flock of birds are startled to fly

the mountain, majestic and grand
from here seems to be holding a secret
the sky is as a soft confidante
if a secret is shared, she will keep it

there is magic where these giants touch
a surface lathered in immense energy
they seem to have come to console one another
and to be friends for what's left of eternity

the magnificent sky, with all of her beauty
has accepted this upheaving mystery
trust has been shared in delicate moments
it has been this way throughout history

i shall leave them alone to discuss
i shall leave them alone to play
i hope for more paintings in your lifetime
for my visit is over, i can no longer stay...
