the temper just goes crazy
so deep threw my soul
it seems my son is the only one
that grips what makes me whole
I tend to scare myself
when control is not insight
but with my son beside me
I try with all my might
he seems to know what sets me off
and the message it will bring
he knows just what will happen
not an ordinary thing
one man crossed the line
made a threat to my son
now he knows that this dad
will do what must be done
I did not mean to hurt him
I gave it all I had
but coming from the heart of me
I am just a dad
