My mind is made up I'm leaving the dance team If my parents are mad They can join themselves And do that stupid crap
A poem or dance There is no debate A poem you write And with dance team you don't
I could write all day Sitting alone in my room In comfortable chair With the lights off or low
A poem is a dance in you mind Except it is not at all Where dancing be dumb Poems are smart And good to do in your chair
My mom likes to yell And tell me things I like to not listen
Once at a wedding My uncle gave me a beer I wish I could live at a wedding Or in my room I got in trouble at school yesterdy for plagiarism I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness Starving Hysterical naked Dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry Fix

This is interesting; I can tell you are one of those misunderstood people just like me except I don't get into a lot of trouble.
"I'm like the star within the corner of the sky
I'm like the flower blooming when the others die
I'm like the rain that falls from the ground to sky
I am that way because I walk so all alone. . ."
Excerpt from I walk alone which has a similar meaning to your poem. I like the style of this and the meaning (the person trying to fit in). |

Always the debate between what we want and what others want us to do -- and you must follow your heart. I could write all day as well; however I have noticed that actually living gives me more to write about: a broader view of the world, even while I write less.
Great subject for a poem. Nice work! Blessings... |
