So Much More

So much of me and so much of you lies between us in glances and near whispers
So much of my soul wants to trickle out from the corners of my eyes and the quirk of my lips And so much of your soul is buried in your shirtsleeves and in between your piano fingers
So much of your joy is hidden in the metallic hues of your gaze like an elevator door closing and leaving me behind And so much of my joy is ripped right out of my chest when you turn your head sideways and away away from my hungry face
And I wish I wish for so much more so much more of you

This is genuinely brilliant, its like a less filtered version of some of the fabulous work in Leonard Cohen's Book of Longing :-) one of my favourites, well done |
