I found an old boot That was,, lying beside the rode From the marks on that old boot It had a story to be told The scars wore worn so deploy Some all the way thru the sole And the story was ages old
That boot it spoke to me In an even and low tone It was the sound of time From a world of its on It said it was worn By a man of simple miens In a world that was now Nothing more than just a dream And its story,,,,,,,, was ages old
I could see spots of polish A rich black deep in the toe I could see him slowly sliding Doing the two steep across the floor And his darling holding him closely Saying she would be with hem for ever more And thats another Story,,,,,,, Thats ages old
It hade seen many hours Of riding in the sun It was dry, cracked and weathered And still had a job to be dun His darling was fatefully waiting While he on the run And that was the end Of the story That was ages old
So when youre out walking Or you just wont to get away If you find an old boot It might whisper and say I got a story thats ages old I got a story to be told

I so enjoyed the imagination and wondering story your words told. I like the visual imagery and the what ifs hidden within. Very nice write and story. P |
