Finally Found

Contributed by ruby_star_angel on Wednesday, 21st May 2003 @ 07:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Lying awake at night, I hear
Voices whispering to fear
Darkness surrounds me, I cannot see
I don't mind, just let that be

Who owns these voices? What do they want?
I hear a colder voice talk back and taunt.
I wonder why the voices suddenly got lower
A sudden death chill; my blood flows slower

I sit up and look around
Nothing's here, nothing to be found
Still I hear and still I feel
I don't understand, let my mind heal

Whatever is in my room is in my mind
Whsipering so coldly, making my temporarily blind
When that fades, again, just black
Somehow, I grow fond; it keeps coming back

Awake for hours, it doesn't fade me
The voice continues, it stays to be
The other voices have disappeared
Almost as if our friendship they feared

Darkness and me, a perfect match?
Must be, since light is so unattatched
I enjoy it, its cold and dark
Look upon my heart; its eternal mark

To this day, its the darkness and I
It understands me, and I understand thy
Never am I truely alone
Forever to be in stone

I like this so cold and dark and spooky. You definitely know how to write and express yourself. I hope use that outlet instaed of using other more destructive ones. A great poem.
