Sometimes, I just wish for silence

Contributed by ArloDisarray on Saturday, 9th August 2014 @ 05:10:13 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I just want to walk into the street
until the voices leave my head
then silence finally comes
and for once, I can be at peace

I can't feel anything most of the time
And when I do it's only pain
cockily shoving its ugliness into my face
to remind me that I'm still alive

It may be time I said my good-byes
I'm not sure I can stand another day
At least not like this
Not anymore

It may be time to let go

There is so little of me left that I'm barely even here
There is no such thing as love
There is only death

so beautifully expressed, felt in your readers soul......

How tragic for us left behind, when the spark fades in a loved ones eyes. This poem is powerful and wounding. It has a sister work as you led me to understand the sorrowful dignity of a friends terminal cancer ("Ceasing to Be"). Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings. I hope all resolves and love finds you.
