inspired by the magic
of something meant to be
with pure determination
of an awesome family tree
so many people showing up
some from far away
together to make a memory
on this very special day
showing that a bloodline
especially one like this
we came to meet the family
that for many years we missed
i am honored to be apart of
this name that we all share
i hold my head up proudly
all the time,everywhere
I hope the we can do this
make it happen every year
spend just a day together
with the ones I hold so dear

That's the best poem on family reunions I've heard. You did a perfect job of bringing out what's special about them. And I also liked the little kid (courage to share) of a plaintive wish, "I hope the we can do this
make it happen every year"
