Why do I see
Those things in you
Like a rose
That can grow in the dark
What I see
Is you set free
And a you that can travel apart
I have seen you cry
And watched tears as they lay
Next to the laughter
That came from your heart
I have watched people dance
And not given a glance
To your heart
As it was torn apart
So no one can tell me
I have no right to see you free
Of the things that haunts you the most
I believe you will go on
And become vibrant and strong
Like the rose that has grown from the dark
