Cool leaning bark (partly finished porch) rough shorn on my sweaty arm-
Your voice floats on an apple pie wave to my bandanna flapped ears- sweat, my body's tears held at bay with your happy sounds, head surrounded in biker blue and dark wet.
I smile though the grime as you laugh recalling, better than it was, the time we caught the rain (or it caught us)
locked outside that umbrella store.
In your lovely view of life, we didn't get wet and miserable- we loved the soak and treasured the wetness
now your music wafts- you speak and that time for the dripping socks and cold I got
make me smile through my soaked bandanna,
grinning as my lawn chirps, You're not done with me yet!

Somehow I think Alice White would be proud or the other way around. Cool flow indeed.
