His Side of The War

Woe to her who let herself succumb to the enemy's deception A precious evil, an angelic specter with dropped wings The young lady believed the comforting lies about a dying God About her purpose to take Him out for the good of a new Earth Well it's high time she relearns who her maker is With all His faculties, His glory, His absolute power and love
It is I who am fighting on His side of the war Routing for Michael's angels, already victorious Faith is the key, not mere weapons Who are you to say that God's created the mess That He is the cause for a dying planet Do you not recall the effects of Adam and Eve The earth is cursed yet its inhabitants are granted eternal life So blame the devil, not the Almighty
It's a shame you used your eyes and not your spirit To choose a fatal end just as your master did It's only a matter of time that the flames will consume you and the masses That is unless you drop the sword, and the slingshot Raise your hands to the sky rather than aim at it Rededicate yourself to Him and truly repent For He would be more than willing to take you back To see you on His side of the war

I read up a bit on Marisol and I have to agree that it's a tad out there and from a religious standpoint, of course quite blasphemous.
I really enjoyed your poem once I had background on Marisol.
Well done, Deidra.
