I find it hard
To find my genuine smile these days
It seems tragically difficult
To understand my own mind most of the time
Even to find the right words to say
Not only now but amidst conversation, especially to those I must converse with almost daily
I realize it may be strange but
I feel like I'm a stranger to my own self
I find that i sometimes can't understand the emotions within me
Let alone how to express myself
I think I've been getting worse the more I've pretended
And as I have feebly reached out for a hand back up out of this hole,
I've found myself grasping only the air
The crushing air
It's hard trusting those closest to me now, I don't want them to know
I wish them no burden of concern
But i long for the feeling of clarity, trust, happiness, even confidence
I feel so low right now
Sad
Scared
Helpless
Alone

I relate to the writers block.Many that strolled the Halls here for many a year have had the same things going on.
I think this is a wonderful poem, and the block is ending:)Keep trying, I know I just force myself,somewhere in there it remains to spring forth anew. I get you I do
