No matter what you say I know who you are Easy Freely You give your body Away To anyone At anytime You call yourself free I call you used Have you ever Taken a minute To think about Your future Your family Your children
I thought not Just worked at the moment Just what got you off What gets you going Makes you moan Scream Now the sheets Need cleaning

wow, this one makes me think it's about me
In my fifties and a hetero male
But I wasn't that lucky
"Scratched my head and
made myself a bet,
There's all these things I don't
remember, how lucky can one guy
get" I think it goes - John Prine
I lament too much when I forget to live
too big, has nothing to do with better
or worse, magnifying wasted time
forgetting how to count...
I like to become really small
Lot to think about here.
I think that makes it a great poem -
Hell a lot people read it
Peace! |
