This foggy spyglass- restrictive and cataract'ed of age, small, large-impersonal, personal- always from a vantage- close, but never near- Over there, but never here. Lips move and words issue- strange bumbling jumbo to my unattenuated attention. How heavy after so many years, lugging this brass & glass tube in my mind- ever at the ready to move to the long view. Velvet brass eyepiece, steady of decades, laid at last to rest- indeed, loneliness is heavier but the past has kept me so removed... LO! My focus is cloudy still, cataract'ed yet, kill so, my eye has been lent to long gleanings from a perspective no longer sought- now paid for, seen and bought.

Flows like a dance…my favorite line is "My eye has been lent to long gleanings from a perspective no longer sought-"
We don't always see what we wish to see..but our life comes back to us at the most unexpected moments. "Now paid for, seen and bought".
Thank you for a peek through your "foggy spyglass- " you have quite a view!
