What happened to us?

Contributed by Jyssvw22 on Saturday, 8th November 2014 @ 10:17:18 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Piece of humble pie
Shoved down a throat
It hurts
Going down
Feels like hell
Bringing it up
Don't speak
Smile kindly
Your heart
Is enough
Smooth skin feels rough
Water boils
Drown in the tub
Heat soaks
Free strokes
See folks
For who they are
Unloved
On par
Even
Without a reason
Rhyme
Without precision
Permission
Granted
A subplot supplanted
Our promise
Recanted
Untouched
Take back
An advantage
Equal now
Partners
In romances
Trust trumps
Trumpets thump
Music to ears
Squeaky bed
From bumps
Heavy heads
Taking lumps
Something changed
When we fell in love

all the time this
feels like it was supposed to
but who could ever tell

Wonderful stuff
sliding on by
powered by all these things
romance, and all everything

you ask a question
And a wonderful one
too
Just now

no is like never saying
no this is never any waste
of time

in this moment I read this
poem

filled with its imagery
All these things to think about

yeah man, it's really deep
skimming this surface
All these things we just can never
see

A collection of all above
is what happened to us

lumps are bad news
but
they do come

sorry for the rattle

wonderful poem, equal are two

Peace!

Makes me think of the one and only flow king- Biggie Smalls.
The latter portion of this write makes me think of another rhyme lover, and wildly interesting writer- Eminem. You should know coming from me, this is high praise indeed.

Whenever I read this style from you I always want to emulate it, but I fear I often fall short of the mark.

So many great writes for me to still revisit and comment on.
Thank you for sharing your gift.
