It Comes Down to The Character of the Man

Contributed by Beyfoxman5 on Monday, 17th November 2014 @ 08:09:43 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

You do or you don't
You will or you won't
You have one life
Sometimes you choose, you decide

But what happens if it's events
They just don't make sense
And everything's on the contrary
Not on the schedule, itinerary?

#### your pants, dive in, and swim
Dig deep, and find out what's within
Cause when you're dealt a second rate hand
It comes down to the character of the man

The elevator is closed, you take the stairs
You don't have time to care
It's not about "ifs and buts"
Fall down once, twice stand up

Battle tested, been through wars
And it's the diamond you most adore
Every day you approach with conviction
There's nothing you know more than friction

#### your pants, dive in, and swim
Dig deep, and find out what's within
Cause when you're dealt a second rate hand
It comes down to the character of the man

Thank you for this little fire starter. :) You are right, and nicely worded, I might add. A plan 'B' is important, and so is the drive to 'get back up again'.

Thanks for posting.
