I knew a beautiful lily
Growing from the soil
Leftover particles
Life-giving arsenals
She tried to grow alone
But struggled with the elements
Difficulty living
Hopeful beginning
In need of urgent care
I can feel her drifting
Immediate medicine
Who would question them?
Structure in which to grow
Stability to be free
Unconditional loving
Unlikely budding
But she still stands alone
Continuing the fight
Beautifully daring
Slowly tiring
And the soul aches
To be transformed
Constant change
What remains?
