New Paths

Contributed by deadreckoning1983 on Monday, 1st December 2014 @ 06:44:22 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Can you love someone you have never met but admire?
With only shared language,
Thoughts and emotions.
Mingle in mystique
And it's a fire of elusive desire.
Frustrated years
Turning to bloom into new musings.
Because of new inspiration,
She is a new exhilaration.
Can I annihilate my inhibitions,
Without half-hearted reservations.
Reserving my inclinations for another time,
I fear would be a mistake.
Let passion take over
Where once I was weak

You really are onto some new musings these days...I think a fresh approach to anything is never a bad idea. It helps us grow, it keeps our enemies guessing, it makes life livelier...As for the question in the beginning, it seems to be a common pondering around here, lol. We are sensitive creatures who get moved by other, similar creatures. Words are powerful, as you recently stated. I suppose that is for you and your respective parties to figure out, but a little inspiration never hurt anyone.

Yes, I believe we can.

Many questions here aimed at oneself. I say read those last two lines and go for it!

Nicely done,

Tim

To say that I like your style is an understatement. You have a very evocative poem here. This reminds me of one of my favorite songs by Alicia Keyes

". . .Continuous mistakes I known I've made before. How long will I feel so out of place. . ."

Excerpt from 'Troubles' By Alicia Keyes

Good question! Whether or not, your musings are insightful and empowering. Giving yourself permission to follow passion instead of propriety.
You write with passion; why not live with it as well?
You will have great stories to tell.

If your actions do no harm to others, then heck YES! Go for it!

I like your poem friend DR
