you blurted out insatiably
as if your words had wings
they fluttered and they flitted
the most ridiculous things
I couldn't quite interpret what
your total message was
& so I interjected
with my own
incredulous buzz. . .
In the end. . .
we both stood drained
a moratorium of words
& in the silence, between the breaths
I know we both we're heard.
