For the love of the dead

Contributed by sanders on Wednesday, 14th January 2015 @ 10:24:12 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

For the love of the dead
I have sacrificed my soul
Let go of everything and killed my own
Happiness that could possibly be easy to achieve
Time that could be something more than just a disease.

For the love of the good
I have preferred to choose a way of my own
Stick to promises and make new goals
Ahead lies the dirty deserted road
With nowhere to look for shelter nor hope.

For the love of the beginning
I have left all in the middle
Of life that has caused so much pain
Only to remember the sweet fresh past I gained
The glorious days I spent with you in memories faint.

For the love of my life
I have set out in search of you
Release the sorrow and realise the truth
Break the barriers behind the veils of blues
Looking for a single ray to penetrate the clouds
One moment of opportunity to fulfill all the vows.

For the love of you I call my own
I'm ready to forego any limits unknown
Lost in life I'm struggling to find the shore
Just striving to attain the ends of this life so I can reach home.

Great flow, love the wordplay, and how you set up each stanza.
Emotive and well executed.

Great to read a new post from you.
