I turned myself around today,
wiped the mirror clean yet again...
I filled the sails, began to float away,
Puerto Rico's fadin' in the haze...
And the time I spent walkin' in the sand,
lookin' at my life, now away from land...
on the big deep blue I found a friend,
the part of me I thought I'd never see again...
I put my money on a rooster mean,
staked my future on his claws and beak...
With a smile and a pocket full I set him free,
no more fightin' just to make me green.
Now Puerto Rico's just a memory,
A smile in my eyes, PR will ever be...
Out here on the ocean, all alone;
now that I'm a man, I decided to go home....
And now....now that I've changed who I am,
set childish things aside, took up bigger plans....
this old world, it ain't never gonna change,
but my heart and minds' aligned...
don't need to rearrange...
I'm free from me at last, now I understand,
it don't matter if I'm on water,
or where I'm at on land...
thanks to Puerto Rico, I've regained my heart again,
I've regained my heart...
regained.

Absolutely wonderful: sentimentality at its finest. I've been reminiscing too and am mentally writing a poem about my vacations and visits to both sides of my family. Take care, and thanks for the great work,
