Poetry I Write

Contributed by waynster on Tuesday, 10th February 2015 @ 03:51:30 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Astounding
so very astounding words can be
Many of them have so much meaning
much more meaning than what the naked eyes can see

To write such words
from intellectual thoughts I often think
Creating a vision in your mind is my goal
not writing them down in ink

I try to tantalize your thoughts
massaging your brain with every word I write
It can be the greatest feeling
when someone understands your very own fight

Allowing myself to feel
as if I were you all along
It helps me to write with meaning
and to you, my words are like a pleasant song

Some say its a gift
to reach out to others, using words that they feel
To write such poetry
touching peoples hearts and sometimes able to heal

It is astounding
to have such a passion and will
I love so much to write poetry
when it brings you peace and love for your heart to fill

To all of you whom love what I write
may my poetry echo through your head
Hopefully you grasp a sense of feeling
from every word that is being read

You got me! Haha!
As soon as the line about the song came up, I was like "Wait what? Oh he got me!"
This is really good. If only I could picture myself, just how any of us feels at any point from any of each other's poetry. To see how they feel or know why they do, from something of which I don't.
Keep writing ever more, don't let your hand be idle. I hear bad things about that!
