Going Mad

Contributed by xHeathenx on Saturday, 14th February 2015 @ 07:12:55 AM in AEST
Topic: ambiguous

Standing outside late at night
Fumigating lungs with pesticide
One can't help but notice a mistake
A mistake of perception, of the shapes,
Ways and behaviors of the silhouettes
The small dark dirt-soaked snow pile?
That's actually a German shepherd laying on its side
Ah well, now it's actually gone. Must've seen our stare

Squinting now at the leaves within the trees,
I no longer see the extensions of the firs,
But a collection of all manners of shapes!
I see bubbles, atoms, balloons, palm trees!
Now it's on two feet, walking away from me
In the skies, are those night-time clouds?
Oh, no, they're gods of the skies drifting 'round
Oh my! They fight with such ferocity!

The snow that rests on the edge of the roof,
Hops up, and runs away into the night
A monochromatic bovine Pegasus
My time outside is now done, I'll wave around
Wave goodbye to this night's museum
The door shuts behind me as the world dies down
Soon now, the arrival of ghosts will begin!
Am I now going insane, or do I have a vivid brain?
