Tell me why, Why do we all just grow up to die? There has to be something here with more worth, Please, just tell me why I was put on this earth.
Everyone has a purpose, or so we are told, A predetermined hand of cards that you'll never fold But while I try to see the suits and colors time is just passing Just please tell me why, because I'm tired of asking.

Ready for a mind blow?
Follow me for this train of logic.
One of the oldest questions of existence, "Why are we here?"
One typical thing said: "It's all a part of God's plan."
God's plan would involve? Life, lifestyle, career, family, spouse/soulmate, passions, joys and sorrows.
How many gods are typical to be worshipped? One. That's to say, faith is held in that specific god, while all others are lesser and thereby fictitious.
Now, fiction, being fantasy, means those gods are created by men. Those very same men believed in those "fictitious" gods, in the same way each of us believes in our own. Meaning their lives and futures that were a part of said "God's plan", were figments of imagination stemming from fantasy, and relied entirely on the individual with said faith.
Overall conclusion and personal analysis? We've all got a sense of faith in something, to a reasonable extent, some is choosing a god, to validate our existence, since it's the only logical way to do so. However, if said gods don't exist, and said sources of faith that make life worth living(rationally speaking of course) to any specific individual aren't true, that means the only thing that made life worth living was the positive mindstate of the individual, and possibly the person's own passions and ability to apply reasoning to their own passions. In short, their passions determine what they do, and their role or niche in human society, life, and the universe in general. In even shorter terms, WE create the reason for OUR existence.
Check out a song called "You create the reason" from 'Forest for the trees'. Somehow the musical lyrics make the statement more profound.
Best of luck on your metaphysical journey. :) |
