The hardest part is when you think
You can't keep running
When it feels like you're too far behind
To ever catch up
And you don't know if it's because
Someone tripped you
Or you forgot to tie your shoelaces
So when you hit the low hard ground
You have to make a choice
Either you choose to give up
And become part of the audience
Watching the other runners whiz by
Or you learn to get up
And find your own footing
paving your own path
To the one thing you know
the finish line
Which turns out not to be
So black and white after all
